About Botanical Garden
The Botanical Garden of the University of Zagreb was founded in 1889 and forms part of the Green Horseshoe. It is laid out partly as an English landscape garden, with ponds, greenhouses and thousands of plant species, and it makes a peaceful break from the city streets. It is open in the warmer months.
