About Medvedgrad
Medvedgrad was built in the 13th century on the southern slopes of Medvednica, the mountain that rises behind Zagreb, after the Mongol invasion. Its walls have been partly restored, and inside is the Altar of the Homeland, a memorial to those who died for Croatia. Combine it with a walk in the Medvednica Nature Park.
